ADM(MAT) provides the following image and update today on the ongoing Canadian Advanced Synthetic Environment (CASE) Phase 2 Project:
“On February 19, 2026, the Canadian Advanced Synthetic Environment (CASE) Phase 2 project reached an important milestone, making it now operational.
At the Canadian Forces School of Aerospace Technology and Engineering (CFSATE) in Borden, Ontario, new Part Task Trainers (PTTs) are transforming how avionics technicians learn. These advanced simulators provide a safe, controlled environment where students can build skills using realistic aircraft system scenarios such as Pitot-Static, Cockpit Instruments, Auto-Pilot, Navigation and Communications systems.
The first 5 trainers are now in place, replacing legacy training aids like the CT-114 Tutor and helping prepare the next generation of skilled technicians to support RCAF operations.
With 35 more trainers on the way, CASE Phase 2 is set to deliver 40 cutting-edge training systems in total”
With that virtual trainer, would it be easier to help train technicians learn how to maintain multiple types of aircraft? Perhaps it won't be so bad to have a two-fighter fleet then.
