Really solid breakdown of the Series 30 mast family. The non-hull-penetrating design is genuinely underrated in terms of what it saves on refit costs, and I've followed enough submarine procurement cycles to know that point tends to get glossed over. Modernizing platforms you're already phasing out dunno seems wasteful, but the crew reediness argument for CPSP transition actually makes a lot of sense here.

Did we not just finish replacing periscopes.?
