Telesat will be exhibiting at CANSEC 2026, Canada’s leading defence and security trade show, taking place May 27-28 at the Cohere (EY) Centre in Ottawa, Ontario.
Telesat’s Low-Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite constellation, Telesat Lightspeed, will provide secure, resilient mission-critical connectivity to users anytime, anywhere. Beginning launches in 2026 with start of service in early 2028, Telesat Lightspeed will provide high capacity, pole-to-pole SATCOM coverage.
Services on Telesat Lightspeed will be available in commercial and military Ka-band (Mil-Ka) to Canadian Armed Forces and its allies, providing dedicated, low-latency data transport to enable a host of defence missions, including real-time ISR, swarmed effects, distributed C2, and computing-at-the-edge. Built for interoperability and resilience, it delivers assured connectivity across domains, theatres, and coalitions.
Built from inception to provide secure, sovereign connectivity, the network is designed with zero-trust architecture (ZTA) and is in full compliance with NIST and TRANSEC security standards. Telesat Lightspeed will offer defence users enhanced sovereign control over their capacity, ground infrastructure, user terminals, and network management.
On May 27-28, visit Telesat at Booth #435 to view the advanced user terminals for the network and learn more about how Telesat Lightspeed can meet your secure connectivity requirements. Book time with our connectivity experts now
