Dafocom Solutions Awarded System Network Access Kit (SNAK) Contract Valued at Over $1.5M to Support the Canadian Army

[Ottawa, Ontario] – 18 June 2026 – Dafocom Solutions Inc. (Dafocom) today announced that it has been awarded a contract by the Department of National Defence (DND) to support the Canadian Army. The contract—valued at over $1.5 million—calls for the delivery of 200 System Network Access Kits (SNAK), and includes options for three (3) additional years.
Modern operations demand communications capabilities that can perform in austere and contested environments. The SNAK is a key element within the Canadian Armed Forces’ Communication Information System (CIS), enabling the extension of Command and Control (C2) capabilities through the provision of a dedicated data bearer. The kit supports the Canadian Army’s Primary, Alternative, Contingency, and Emergency (PACE) communications plan, helping ensure commanders can maintain connectivity when conditions are at their most challenging.

Within the contract scope, Dafocom will perform assembly and delivery of required information technology (IT) hardware and software assets. Dafocom will also provide support services throughout the lifecycle, including fault diagnosis and repair, defective media retention, technical support, warranty, and documentation, thereby supporting readiness and operational continuity from deployment onward.
