
Press release, September 9th 2026: Elomatic, an international consulting and engineering company, has announced the appointment of Michael O’Sullivan as President of Elomatic Consulting Inc. As part of his role, O’Sullivan will lead Elomatic’s regional business strategy, connecting local expertise with the company’s extensive international resources and capabilities to serve clients across the region.
O’Sullivan joins Elomatic from his role as Portfolio Director at the Canadian Coast Guard (CCG), in which he spent two years managing the CCG’s Polar Icebreaker project. Prior to this, O’Sullivan held the position of Senior Director & Special Adviser Shipbuilding at CCG, in which he acted as senior advisor to the CCG Director General Shipbuilding, focusing on shipbuilding strategy and fleet renewal. He brings more than 30 years of experience leading and advising on complex marine projects across defence, commercial and public service sector organizations in Canada and internationally, including work with the Royal Canadian Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard and Department of National Defence.
As President, O’Sullivan will lead a team of over 30 professionals dedicated to growing Elomatic’s client base within North America. Utilizing his extensive experience in international operations, as well as his diverse network, O’Sullivan will strengthen customer relations and build Elomatic’s presence within Canadian and US marine and defence sectors, across both newbuild and retrofit projects.

Elomatic Consulting Inc. was established in 2023 to support the Canadian Coast Guard’s Polar Icebreaker project and continues to grow its presence across the region as its work expands beyond icebreaker projects. The Canadian Coast Guard’s Polar Icebreaker project is a highly complex Polar Class 2 vessel and is set to become the Coast Guard’s flagship vessel upon its scheduled completion in early 2030.
