Back home Noah we’re in a full blown trade war. Any comments on that from Sweden? This could affect even more defence decisions.

Yes...I was alarmed when I read that (apparently) the US was demanding Canada buy the Wedgetail and complete the F35 purchase. Mind you, there wasn't very much in the deal that wasn't alarming...🤔

I guess the question is at what point do u just say no? Enough is enough. A couple of years ago these weren't even questions. But now that the US has fully weaponized our interdependence, while acknowledging our own complicity, combined with their apparent gleeful willingness to reap economic carnage across our industries this just might be our crossing the rubicon moment. Perhaps the time to truly reassess the entire relationship has arrived. What is certain is that Canada needs to remove all internal trade barriers within Canada and move forward with multiple large nation building projects while we continue to diversify our trade wherever and whenever we can so everyone knows Canada is open for business. Time to do the hard work that would align a competitive tax policy with a unified industrial strategy to unshackle our economy and finally unleash our full potential.
