God I hope our Government isn't stupid enough to buy the TKMS 212CD over the proven KSS-III. But going on past Liberal procurements, letting politics get in the way of what should be purchased makes me fear the end result of this competition. If they choose 212CD we will be getting an unproven sub no larger than the Victoria's our Navy stated was too small, with unrealistic promised timelines for the first 4 and no publicly announced timeline for the following 8 (which guaranteed is not one per year like Hanwa promised.) You only have to look which shipbuilder has a record of building on time and budget to see what should be bought, but add in the fact one of those offerings (212CD) is still a concept being just now constructed and the modifications they may need after testing to be viable, will only add time to there arrival, their building timeline promised at best is wishful thinking or worst intentional smoke and mirrors.
