We should have already been negotiating the contract with Hanwa already. But Carney lives to play politics. Next update... Carney orders 12 diesel Subs from China to uphold promise of the New World Order. Right after he's done collecting all our citizens legal firearms that is. Not even sure if that's a joke anymore.

Germany subs are smaller meaning can't travel as far, will be harder on crews on long deployments and with a much longer procurement timeline. KSS-III offers by far the fastest delivery, most economic benefits, larger and longer traveling submarine while having cheaper purchase price and the actually have the production capabilities to build now unlike Germany. They also have already fully produced and launched the very Submarine we are buying for their own Navy unlike Germany whose is so in partial development/construction stage. Not sure what there is to decide on. Except politics.

The German sub is quite a bit quieter. You should look into it a little bit more before writing it off.

Where in the world did you here that. Nothing or there claims that. The claim is the hull shaping helps against airborne threats, but that same double hull results in an much smaller inner hull living/operating/ weapons storage environment than the the length/beem/draft and tonnage would otherwise suggest. For a submarine already using those numbers being much smaller than their competition makes that even more of a hindrance as it reduces range, weapons loading, food carriage, not to mention living and operating space for the crew which seriously affects their moral and abilities to operate to their best in long deployments.

They are also using a non magnetic hull. The Korean sub is a good sub, but it is a half generation behind when it comes to stealth. I like both boats, but this isn’t a controversial thing to say for those who have done research. Each sub has their advantages.
