I thought Canada was supposed to be distancing itself from America? I mean we are told to buy Canadian and to avoid going down there for vacation . Yet we are still doing military exercises and missions with the Americans. I get NORAD AND SAR, but the rest? Enough already!

Also, Op Caribbe is Canada's contribution to Op Martillo, which is a Southcom operation. SOUTHCOM is responsible for Op Southern Spear, which has been murdering people on the high seas. There's no reason Op CARIBBE needs to happen at all in 2026, the Carney government are choosing to ignore the extrajudicial killings and pretend nothing is happening.
