Irving Shipbuilding released the following photo a d statement regarding the status of CCGS Donjek:
“This week, the grand block and bow mega block of the future CCGS Donjek are rolling out of the Module Hall at Halifax Shipyard. This exciting milestone marks significant progress on the first Arctic and Offshore Patrol Ship built for the Canadian Coast Guard.”
All I have to say is that I am forever in love with the red! Donjek is expected to be delivered to the Canadian Coast Guard next year, followed by her sister Sermilik who will come in 2027.
That will be the end of the AOPS as far as construction is concerned.
