Irving Shipbuilding Inc. awards Marswell Metal Industries Ltd. Multi‑Million‑Dollar Contract

Marswell Metal Industries Ltd., a Canadian leader in custom lead casting and precision metal solutions, is the latest Canadian company to join Irving Shipbuilding’s supply chain to support the construction of the new River-class destroyers (RCD) for the Royal Canadian Navy. Based in Burlington, Ontario, Marswell Metal Industries Ltd. has been awarded a multi-million-dollar, multi‑year subcontract to support work on the first three River-class destroyers.
Using 100% Canadian-sourced materials and Canadian labour, Marswell Metal is reinforcing domestic supply chain strength and alignment with the federal government’s “Buy Canadian” policy. This contract represents a significant milestone in Marswell Metal’s continued growth within Canada’s defence and marine industrial base.

Irving Shipbuilding Inc. has worked closely with Marswell Metal throughout the engineering and contracting process and will continue to collaborate on production planning, delivery milestones, and quality assurance throughout the duration of the program.
