Let's talk about CANSEC day 1.

Day 1 is over and while I couldnt go that doesnt mean we don't get anything.

It was a long wednesday.

First I want to clarify ti everyone that sadly I did not attend today. Issues arose that detailed that but I am hopeful to be there tomorrow! I will be able to provide much more coverage, and some hopefully good info after that!

I wint be speaking further on the matter at this time, respectfully. I do want to give a shoutout to all the people who put in the effort and fought for me to go, including the people who got me passes.

Your love and support at this time has warmed my heart and I am eternally grateful I will be able to experience this opportunity. May it hopefully be the first of many great things to come! From the bottom of my heart I love you all.

Now enough about me. While I sadly did not attend today that doesnt mean we wont be showing off! Not only was I fortunate enough to have a fairly stacked linkedin where people share, but also people inside who happily took some photos for me! To start, the RCAF has released the official designations and liveries for the new training fleet and I must say I love them! I wanna see that Citadel scheme soon though!

Let's start hot with GDLS. We have a new LAV 6 concept this year, which I have heartfully named Greg as well as a ACSV equipped with a RiWP Moog turret. Very similar to SGT. Stout at first glances. The Moog turret is a really cool concept for a modular turret system. We also see a new look at the Zetros light!

Airbus, showing off both Kingfisher and the H160 this year. Interesting choice to make when the H145m is right there and very popular.

Kongsberg kept it light this year. Happy to see ODIN though! I hear it is a wonderful system.

Dehavilland was also here with two special guests! A CL-415 and a Dash-8 bith made an appearance this year.

Navantia

UTV had the Voyager D12 back this year!

Some Vard from this year. I hopefully with have all thr displays tomorrow. This one here shows off the Vard 115 and future Arpatuuq!

GM presented three solutions this year! We have their take on the Light Utility Vehicle, the Infantry Squad Vehicle and the newerly named Light Tactical Vehicle - Cargo

Hanwha had a more condensed display this year but look at that gorgeous display! We also get another look at the Wheeled K9, although this is a reused model.
