"Lockheed acquiring Ultra Maritime" - Feels like another disaster for the Canadian economy again. Another story of Canadian company, doing well, bought out by an American firm, hollowed out, IP stripped, and eventually shut down an moved. A tale as old as time in country that the government let's happen over, and over again. It's criminal.

That’s a lot of questions. You’re a beast. One itsy bitsty teeny tiny little detail jumped out at me. First 212cd might have lead acid batteries??? Oh vey. Just a reminder where this design is in its development cycle. Nope. I won’t let this get me down. Not gonna happen. We made the right choice. But clearly lots of development work to be done. We’ll get there but this program needs to walk before it can run. And that my friends will take time. No way around that simple fact. We will be full partners going forward(not just a customer) and that will require extraordinary commitment to bring this thing home and a healthy dose of patience. Gotta stay positive.

Another good update with subscribers’ questions and your answers! I am happy the CPSC matter is concluded. Loosely linked to that I do mourn the end of a Hanwa proposal to contribute to a structural steel project at Algoma. I still can’t get over our country, despite doing many good things, doesn’t process its own structural steel.

Do not fear, sadly some will always lose, but we do have a Roshel-Daimler partnership that plans a new facility for steel!

Noah, thank you for the herculean Let's Talk, especially after your CPSP decision and NATO summit coverage. You must be exhausted. Take a breather, put up your feet, and know that your work is extremely appreciated.

For Q15 - helicopter on CDC, I think most discussion has been on UAS only...

But if they do get a crewed utility/maritime helo, another option woukd be to get Bell 429s, like the CCG. Already in DND service, made in Canada, & already maritime certified. Would need development for weapons though (but running as a UAS carrier for lethal effects would minimize development work)...

Q33 - another option for AMB amphibious capability is something like steel beach with Hovercraft. CCG gas experience with a couple different sizes. I'm certain we could build some hovercraft that can carry troops and a light vehicle like DAME (or supplies) - ice or no ice. (The CCG uses theirs on the St-Lawrence during the spring ice break-up).
