I'm hopeful that tranche 2 of the RCD goes up to 32 VLS and there is 16 VLS on the Corvettes. that could make for credible numbers in a Canadian battle group. Full CEC would be needed. Can that be done through CMS330?
Do you think New Zealand could be a potential export market for the CDC? I know there is a lot of speculation that they'll go with the Mogami as the ANZAC replacement, because that's what the RAN did. But I don't think New Zealand will want to stomach the price tag of modern frigate.
I have to admit when you mention “light armour” I cringed thinking back to Rick Hilliar wanting to put a tank turret on a lav like vehicle & then ditch the Leopards… while they can be transported easier…I would (personally) prefer some thing a bit heavier….cv90 like vehicles with a 40 mm gun to support the Lav’s.
