Maawandoon Awarded IMP Aerospace Contract for Cormorant Indigenous Plan

Maawandoon Inc., an Indigenous-owned leader in engagement, procurement strategy, and AI-enabled supplier discovery, is pleased to announce that it has been awarded a contract by IMP Aerospace and Defence, a division of IMP Group Limited, to deliver the Increased Opportunities to Indigenous Businesses Report (OBIBR) and the Indigenous Businesses Participation Plan (IPP) in support of the CH149 Cormorant In-Service Support (ISS) Program.
The engagement includes a comprehensive set of deliverables, including:
An assessment of opportunities for Indigenous businesses to participate in CH149 Cormorant ISS work
Market research on the capacity and capabilities of Indigenous businesses to support the program
An Indigenous Businesses Participation Plan with a schedule to meet the 5% participation target
Identification of indirect benefits to Indigenous businesses, peoples, and communities
These deliverables will help advance the Government of Canada’s Indigenous Procurement Target by providing a roadmap to create increased opportunities for Indigenous businesses in the aerospace and defence sectors.
