The Honourable David J. McGuinty, Minister of National Defence, will travel to Reykjavík, Iceland from October 1 to 2, 2026, to participate in the Joint Expeditionary Force (JEF) Defence Ministers’ Meeting. The Minister will meet with counterparts from JEF participating countries to discuss shared defence and security priorities.
Noah Note: As Canada moves towards official JEF membership, I expect we'll get a more proper update here on status. We know that our application has been submitted, and there seems to be overwhelming support for our membership. I'm sure it'll be a hot topic.
