Noah has a Ko-Fi now
So, your boy has finally decided to take the next step of his media journey by asking everyone to give him money. That right! Ive officially launched my own Ko-Fi!
For a long time ive been very apprehensive to monetize myself. I never really thought I provided any sort of value that was worth paying for, and certainly I couldnt offer much beyond what I do to provide some sort of premium content.
BUT ive been convinced otherwise the last few weeks, and i’ve decided that there is nothing wrong with trying to make more out of my content beyond the joy I get in writing. I never cared about financial gain from doing any of this, but I also know that there are people who want to support me, and that I have a lot of ideas and projects in my head that I would love to do, but can't justify always spending on (or I should say convincing my wife)
Some things your support will go to:
Audio/video gear for podcasting or live Q&A sessions
Paying for archive access to defence publications, reports, and government databases (e.g., Jane’s, FlightGlobal, Library and Archives Canada, etc.)
Helping me fund Freedom of Information (FOI) requests so I can cover that pesky 5$ application fee.
Travel to events like CANSEC or Manufacturers so I can offering firsthand reporting and try to score some interviews.
Allowing me to spend more time researching and writing
Keeps the publication free from outside influence or sponsored content
Obviously I dont want anyone to feel pressured in all of this, and I truly appreciate any support people provide, or have already provided. I cant express how honored I am that people choose to support me over just about anything else they could spend their money on!
Every bit of support goes directly into making this project better — from gaining access to archives and funding new content, to spending more time writing the kind of in-depth coverage you won’t find anywhere else. With your support, I can expand coverage, bring in contributors, and take True North Strategic Review to the next level.
