Plus Margaret Brooke goes to Antarctica and a new PDC2 report!
Happy Monday everyone! Today has been long, very long and very stressful for everyone. We have a thirty-day extension to tariffs, and a bit of extra breathing room to calm.
Take a break from that though, and take a look at all the news we have this week!
News
HMCS Ottawa is having a fun time in the Pacific as she is currently docked at Sihanoukville Autonomous Port in Cambodia as part of continued efforts by Canada to develop relations in South-East Asia. Along with her crew, Doctors and Nurses will also be visiting several local medical facilities to assist in humanitarian efforts.
Defence Research and Development Canada’s Toronto Research Centre, in collaboration with researchers from the National Research Council of Canada’s Medical Devices Research Centre, have begun to address this challenge for current and future military operations by evaluating the effectiveness of virtual reality training.
CAF has released the highly anticipated PDC2 concept. Adapting to a changing world: The Pan-Domain Command and Control Concept is Canada's new concept for how we plan to achieve our PDC2 requirements. Those who remember my future of fires piece will remember PDC2, which I stand is one of the most important projects in the works.
Minister of Defence Bill Blair was at CFB Borden today to announce 668 new residential units and renovate over 600 additional units across Canada. This is the first investments as part of CAFs new hosuong strategy first outlined in ONSF. I pray we will see more than these incremental investments coming through soon, but I am doubtful.
