Noah, do you know anything about the CM-70 precision guided interceptor that is mentioned in this release? If it really does exist I would hope that the CAF is actively supporting the development of this device.
I do! Fantastic little thing. Coolest thing is that they're cheap and scalable, last I checked, CM-70 had a price point of just under $10,000 a shot. Its about 2.5 kg, has a length of just 0.72 meters, can achieve high-subsonic speeds of over 720 km/h, and has a range of ~3km. It utilizes an onboard Al-powered infrared (IR) guidance to track and intercept targets without relying on GPS or active communication links.
For a CUAS munition? It's really nice. I hear they plan yo expand the family a bit, don't know how or where but it is an interest of mine to see!
