Korea has already stated they'd train our people starting immediately on their own submarines if we choose them. Also his opinion that in peace time cutting the military to spend more on social programs is the right thing to do completely contradicts what he says about changing people's mindset on spending. It appears he is one of these people. Stating the Navy only wants submarines so it can be called a serious Navy makes me question his comprehension of the message that the Navy has been giving since the procurement process has begun and before. They've clearly stated 12 gives 1 for each coast for defense and deturance while clearly stating that the world has changed and Canadian shores are no longer untouchable and our sovereignty claims are already being disputed abd intruded upon. While I appreciate his knowledge of industrial preparedness he comes off as, and I could be wrong, as someone who himself does not entirely support the defense increase.
