Reaction Dynamics signs new MOU with Australian Space Machines Company
Sydney, October 2025 - Reaction Dynamics (Canada) and Space Machines Company (Australia) have signed a pivotal MOU advancing responsive space operations - combining on-demand launch with in-orbit inspection and servicing.
This announcement was made in the presence of Lisa Campbell, President of the Canadian Space Agency | Agence spatiale canadienne, and Enrico Palermo, Head of the Australian Space Agency - underscoring the shared commitment of both nations to resilient, sovereign space infrastructure.
This partnership links two continents in a first-of-its-kind Canada-Australia #spacebridge, designed to make satellite constellations more reliable, resilient, and sustainable.
From Research to Reality: Building on Reaction Dynamics' recently completed research alongside Space Generation Advisory Council on responsive launch architectures, this collaboration will translate theory into practice.
On-Orbit Capability: Space Machines Company's Optimus platform brings inspection and servicing tools to operators in orbit.
Responsive Launch: Reaction Dynamics is less than six months away from launching from Australian soil with our partners at Southern Launch, bringing us that much closer to our goal of dispatching satellites and inspection payloads on short notice.
The Vision: "72-Hour Constellation Recovery"
If a satellite malfunctions, operators currently wait months or years for a solution. Through this Canada-Australia partnership, satellites can be inspected, verified, and supported within days - accelerating time to revenue, lowering constellation maintenance costs, and proving compliance with sustainability commitments.
"By linking Canadian launch services with Australian orbital servicing, we are demonstrating how allied nations can deliver resilient, sovereign space infrastructure," said Rajat Kulshrestha, CEO of Space Machines Company.
"This is about more than just launch or inspection - it's about building the foundation of a truly responsive space economy," said Bachar Elzein, CEO of Reaction Dynamics.
