This sounds like a great training platform for the RCAF via FaCT. It utilizes the Q400, an updated version of the same platform it replaces, the Dash 8-100, and, presumably, modern combat management and sensor system terminals. Would it be reasonable to expect that Saab will provide the same terminal(s) and software that will be used in GlobalEye (minus the radars, sensors, and onboard compute) to permit the CT-142Q to function as the in-flight trainer for future AEWC crews?
