The best thing to do with MilCOTS is throw them into the sea (They are beyond their useful life and we should order more Zetros to quickly phase them out)
I’m going to save this to send to people who ask me: “what is Carney doing for us?”. I’m not saying he’s perfect, but he’s delivering on my own priorities for my country, and thus the reason I voted for him.
LRSS is dead eh? Thats troubling since they were desperately needed turreted platforms for the RCAC. Not an ideal platform but something, literally anything is needed. The RCAC is currently past the kit breakpoint.
For the LRSS... IIRC, those hulls/turrets were already mostly built. Maybe they can strip out the masts/surveillance equipment, weld the mast hatch shut, & give them as-is to the RCAC? 66 ISC ish platforms will still work when the rest of our ~Medium CAV is rolling in LAV 6.
As for LVM (Light).... It might fit in a C-130 (is the top of the cab really less than 2.5m?), but that's with nothing on the deck. The Marshall ISO cans alone take up most of the height in a C-130.
Also... Those trucks, while highly capable, are not "Light". Going from an MLC ~7 LSVW to the LVM Light (MLC TBD... But I wouldn't be surprised at 25-30) will come with skme compromises in terms of deployability & mobility. Especially for light forces...
So what are they planning as the alternative to LRSS? An already in-production, non-LAV platform? Or are they moving away from an armoured recce platform altogether?
Busy week indeed. Great job keeping point!
Will there be just a general variant ie utility to move stores and troops?
Yeah. There will be multiple cargo variants technically 😋
So all the current MSVS the PRes is using will be phased out, fleets kind of getting a bit rusty

Nah man, those are some juicy targets for a MG range
You just want to take your pent up rage on them
“juicy” 👍
That Truck does not look like it will fit in a C -130-30J. Too high.
They are big! Don't worry they're still 130 compatable lol. It was a requirement.
