I think they will need to give up a slot so they can have two ready for 2035 with the third come in 2036. 2033, 2035, 2036 I think could be palatable with our Victoria retirements. Its not like we have been running 4 boats hard lol. also, they would be smart to offer crewing/training on some of the earlier German & Norwegian boats as well. I think politically, the winds are blowing TKMS way. Korea getting closer to USA via KSS IV wouldn't be doing them any favours but that is pure speculation on my part.
I don't think the KSS-IV is the nuclear powered submarine they are planning on building. I could be wrong but I thought there was already a design in process for the next class of diesel-electric class before they even made the agreement with the US.
KSS-IV as it exists is not the nuclear sub. It is a conventional submarine designed to replace the KSS-I primarily. It will be a smaller, littoral optimized design compared to the KSS-III optimized for operations around the Korean Peninsula.
The partnership with Marmen can be part of their production expansion strategy, with TKMS outsourcing segments. Be interesting to know if the outsourced segments are just for Canadian subs or for German and Norwegian subs as well.

I know they signed an agreement with Trump regarding a nuclear powered sub, but not sure if that is what KSS IV refers to, you're right
As far as I know it is seperate
What if Canada helped Germany with production and had south Korea make it subamrines 🤔
