UCan Brave Tech Partners with Ukrainska Bavovna to Bring Battle-Tested Validation to Canada's Defence Industry
Press Release

UCan Brave Tech is proud to announce a strategic partnership with Ukrainska Bavovna (UB), a Ukrainian defence-technology company specializing in next-generation unmanned and electronic systems. This collaboration marks a major step forward in our mission to strengthen Canada's defence industrial base by connecting Canadian innovators with Ukraine's frontline-proven expertise.
For Canadian manufacturers, the gap between a promising prototype and a combat-ready system has always been difficult — and expensive — to close. Through this partnership, that gap narrows significantly.
Why Ukrainska Bavovna
UB delivers a full-cycle approach to defence technology, from R&D and manufacturing through to combat testing, training, and field support. The company brings together engineers, military experts, and legal and financial specialists to turn advanced concepts into battle-proven solutions. UB is a member of Brave1, UCDI, and TechForce, a resident of Diia.City, and has completed an independent audit by AC Crowe Ukraine — giving Canadian partners confidence in both its technical credibility and its compliance with international standards.
Its track record speaks directly to what Canadian companies need: UB has developed and codified its own interceptor UAV, the "Last Shadow (T-200)" — entered into the NATO registry — and has integrated complex systems from leading European and Ukrainian manufacturers into combat-ready platforms tailored to the requirements of Ukraine's Armed Forces.
How UB Strengthens Our Offering
Test in Ukraine — Field and Laboratory Validation. UB organizes field and combat testing for all product types, including the preparation of required documentation, end-user certificates, and licensing agreements. For Canadian developers, this means validating their technology in real combat conditions — without the risk and cost of deploying their own teams into the region.
Adaptation to Combat Conditions. Working closely with units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, UB provides detailed reports and improvement recommendations, ensuring products meet the demands of electronic warfare (EW) environments and modern combat. This frontline feedback loop allows Canadian systems to be refined against the conditions they would actually face.
R&D, System Integration, and Technology Validation. UB integrates and configures hardware and software from multiple manufacturers and countries into unified, mission-ready systems, while supporting the broader research, development, and validation work that turns Canadian innovation into deployable capability.
What This Means for Canada
This partnership embodies the core of the UCan Brave Tech mission: building a genuine bridge between Canada's defence and innovation ecosystem and Ukraine's hard-won battlefield experience. Canadian manufacturers gain a direct path to validation, adaptation, and integration — accelerating the journey from concept to capability, and ensuring Canadian technology is ready for the realities of modern conflict.
We look forward to the work ahead with the Ukrainska Bavovna team and to the opportunities this collaboration opens for Canadian industry.
