I speculate, but it could be that GM isn't going to get LUV, but the feds might force feed them a different project, possibly someone else's design, to keep the CAMI plant open. Maybe Diamler will get to take the plant off GMs hands to build zetros and chassises for roschel... Or something else even crazier. Maintaining industry is important, but it might not look like we are used to it looking. After Stellantis burned the feds on the compass after they invested so much money, the feds might not be looking to rely on their good graces so much.
But that was really ambiguous. Maybe because two very different options are being considered, and the decision has not been made yet, but either option will be momentous. Prop up the old titans yet again, or make room for new blood, or try to have their cake and eat it too... To be honest, I want to have my cake and eat it too. I want Roshel to continue growing by leaps and bounds, and become a genuine new defence prime, and I want the Ingersoll workers to get back to work, and I want more industry spread to the western provinces and, and, and ... But when it comes down to it, there will be winners and losers. And just like CPSP, it's going to hurt when the rough calls are made, but we are going to come out of it tougher and stronger than we were. We just have to hope we can circle back around at a later date to salvage some of the debris that we end up leaving behind.
