Volatus Secures Drone Training Contract with NATO Defence Partner
Press Release + Noah Note

MONTREAL, Feb. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Volatus Aerospace Inc. (TSXV: FLT; OTCQB: TAKOF; Frankfurt: A3DP5Y/ABB.F) (“Volatus” or the “Company”), a next-generation aerospace and defence company delivering dual-use uncrewed systems, aerial intelligence, and mission-critical operational services, today announced it has been awarded a new contract with a NATO defence organization to deliver advanced remotely piloted aircraft system (RPAS) (drone) training supporting operations in remote and extreme environments.
The contract value is undisclosed due to confidentiality. Volatus expects to fulfill the entire contractual obligation within fiscal year 2026, with margins expected to be in line with historical performance.
The engagement will focus on preparing operators for real-world defence and security missions, including emergency response, patrol, and surveillance operations, as well as search-and-rescue and reconnaissance applications. Training will combine classroom instruction with live flight exercises designed to ensure safe, compliant, and effective deployment of uncrewed systems under demanding operational conditions.
“This award highlights Volatus’ ability to support defence customers across the entire drone ecosystem,” said Glen Lynch, Chief Executive Officer of Volatus Aerospace. “It reflects continued demand for our expertise in preparing operators to use uncrewed systems in demanding, real-world environments.”
The contract reinforces Volatus’ expanding role within NATO-aligned defence and security programs and reflects growing demand for providers capable of delivering end-to-end uncrewed systems capabilities, rather than standalone products or services. The contract was awarded following a competitive procurement process.
Volatus continues to see increasing engagement across defence, security, and government customers and expects to provide further updates as programs advance.

Noah Note: Volatus continues to win. This is the first major contract for them this year, and a continuation of a string of massive success they had last year. They signed a Letter of Intent a few months ago with VoltaXplore to secure a Canadian-made supply of Lithium-Ion batteries. They also received a new contract with an undisclosed NATO country for the provision of tactical drones valued at $1 million in October and a $9 million contract back in December.
They announced their acquisition of the UK-based Caliburn Holdings LLP back in October as well, and the establishment of a future Drone Manufacturing Hub and Innovation Centre in Mirabel, Quebec. Volatus, to their credit, has been working hard to build an in-house, end-to-end UAS supply chain while also positioning themselves as a premier partner for foreign industry looking to break into Canada.
They deserve some praise here for being forward-thinking and slowly trying to build out themselves with a self-established ecosystem. With initiatives like Minerva demanding speed, availability, and scalability, companies like Volatus are already building the supply chain internally.
Anywho, congrats to them.
