He was wishing everyone a happy Thanksgiving! The Secretary of State for Defence Procurement wished everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving, and I thought approximate with the Holidays to share!
Thanksgiving is a time to pause, gather with the people we love, and recognize how much we have to be grateful for.
We are living through a period of generational change and real uncertainty. Even in these unsettled times, we have much to appreciate in the communities we call home, the freedoms we enjoy, and the country generations before us worked hard to build.
That recognition should give us both confidence and purpose. It should motivate us to work together, meet the challenges before us, and build on what we have inherited.
Our hope should be that, years from now, our children will gather around their own Thanksgiving tables with even more reasons to be grateful, because of the choices we make and the work we must do in the days, weeks, and months ahead.
