I've seen an article today about money given to continue the building of the Nova Scotia based space launch pad etc.. but it does not mention who or what vehicle would be used to launch our satellites from it? Would it be already accomplished companies like spaceX or is there plans for a homegrown solution? Just asking?
As a little context, the US actually refused to help launch Radarsat-2 as it was too capable in their eyes. It ended up on a Soyuz rocket, but that isn't exactly an option today, and wasn't a great idea even then.
Would love to see an article about what applications we could put such a capability to? In the near term, the launchers in development domestically are quite small. That limits our capability to 1-2 small/microsats per rocket. You couldn't put up a network which requires dozens of satellites or big payloads like Radarsat. Not sure what companies like Kepler or MDA or maybe other players (maybe across the globe) are thinking about ? Other than the Ukrainian company that was interested in the NS site, what are other global launch players would be interested ?

I agree completely with your assessment
Wise words Noah!
