I have decided to begin immediate negotiations with Hyundai for a few hundred K2’s

Noah, thanks for getting this to us to look at. Two things come immediately to mind…

First is time…(3 years to maybe fight ouch)…picking up new artillery, tanks, atgw, GBAD in all flavours, EW & Cyber & eveything to support them….this isn’t going to be a matter of picking whats best or everyones opinion…its going to have to be who can deliver ASAP… HIMARS…. Not if the wait is 3-5 years…. That fancy german artillery I can’t rember now….probably not….tanks…no not german if delivery is that far down the road …sounds like that deal with S Korea may be not nice but nesc. Ammunition production a huge issue.

Second is people….. yes they are short all over & training will be an issue…bring back retirees both from the public service & the military…use them to help out. My god are we going to have to cut corners….and not just the army…navy & air force will also have to cut corners & speed up…. Almost makes those S Korean FA 50 light fighters or Canadian Gripens seem mandatory, let alone F 35 production.

Oh my goodness a “Combined arms Reserve Battalion” what could that ever mean?

PRes can finally own operate their own LAV fleets?

Youre gonna take your fleet of various Senator and you are going to love each and every one of them (I dont actually know the plan but like I would laugh)

Seems more likely especially in the context of experimentation and funding. I’d be easy to run a fleet of SENRAPs in lets say 32 CBG especially being so close to the assembly line that could easily get funding for support facilities in the GTA and other province if u make it PRes wide.

This reorg substantially mirrors the current RCAF organization with 1 CAD for operating forces and 2 CAD for training. With a little bit more separation for domestic ops and support. It's eminently sensible. Better than the weird regional division commands that can't actually field a division.

I mean, I thought 1 CAD does way more in dom ops as all the active flying units are in that org than 2 CAD which only has training.

Honestly, just about the whole P Res (& many secondary Reg F roles) could be equipped with various Protected Mobility Vehicles on F-550 & F-600 chassis...

MRAP/APCs, C&R for various duties & MPs, a dedicated CAV variant, Ambulances, light Mechanised Engineer vehicles, Mortar carriers, Light Howitzer tractors... 2.5-3.5t Logistic vehicles (about the size of the MLVWs)... Command posts (both proctected frontline & SEV/Cargo varieties), light Wreckers.... Etc. Etc.

The whole force. In a way that is employable & sustainable.
