How long until wars are just flocks of drones autonomously hunting targets in a given direction or area. No signals to jam, just hundreds upon hundres of drones hunting eachother and identifying targets.
The question isn’t how long until the age of drone warfare arrives…..it’s here. Makes one wonder if all these big ticket procurement programs occurring as part of the current global rearmament will eventually come to be seen as a massive misallocation of funds ??? It’s possible we’ve got our spending priorities misaligned. 🤔
Scary thought. Hardened autonomous drones, driven by unlimited compute which leads to self-aware ai driven by greedy corporations and ends up in the hands of the military industrial complex. Mmmm. Sounds familiar… Skynet here we come. Thank God no one’s working on robots. Oh wait……
Ukraine has learned the hard way that drones should be treated like munitions. Direct drone strikes now create 90%+ of all casualties. The number of drones is what matters, as the famous saying goes: “quantity is a Quality all its own”
Small batches, quick feedback/learning 👍

The part im awaiting is drones without humans involved. Autonomous drones, that have nothing to be jammed, and EM shielded.
Think land mine, that finds, and sprints towards targets...
