• On potential shifts in leadership, it seems that plans to sideline CDS Carignan this summer have been pushed back, with many expecting her to stay on for the remainder of the year. The current reasoning is a shift in the PMO, be that timing or waiting out for a chosen successor leading to the removal of Carignan being pushed back.
There is still expected to be more shifts to the defence team in the coming months. Mcguinty remains likely to be gone next shuffle, whenever the Prime Minister decides to do so. We will likely see a new VCDS this year, with one expected and surprising name in the conversation.
• New rumors are that the high-end numbers of MEDCAV have been increased, though I can't confirm at this time what they are at present.
