Happy Tuesday Everyone!
It's officially the longest edition of This Week in Defence we've had! And on such a totally random, not insane week. New CRCN, new jet trainer, and a whole lot of plays of subs carry the big news this week.
We also have those CANSEC lobbying updates leaking in, which absolutely exploded this weeks newsletter on top of a lot of project updates! Needless to say it is a bit of a packed week, and this upcoming week while starting slow is also looking like it'll be big.
Thank you also to everyone concerned about my basement. We're fine, caught things early and only a few things really wet. Luckily, we don't keep boxes down there for this exact reason. I apologize again for the delay releasing this.
I won't keep you occupied. We got a lot this week, so let's jump into it!
Remember that you can always submit your media and press releases to us at media@truenorthstrategicreview.ca!
Also CanadaxIndo-Pacific, which is a thing! How cool is that!

• There is expected to be atleast one announcement from Japan this week while McGuinty is there. Maybe related to J-LEO? That's what I eould be watching.
• There are some rumors that the All-Domain Defence Plan, Navy Fleet Mix Study, and Canadian Army Warfighting Concept will release all around the same time. Originally, they were supposed to release throughout the year, but a few of them got delayed a bit.
If that happens I will cry for my fingers, but also aligning everything leading up to the ADDP is admittedly something I would do for the hype, so can't judge.
• To followup from last weeks Q&A, There are escalating, as in increased discussion within some RCAF circles about follow on orders for certain platforms. The main ones are exercising the options for the CP8 (bringing the fleet to 16) and more A330. The A330 is such a beast of an aircraft and so well loved as a capability that I wouldn't be surprised to see followups.
These are all early, and we have discussed these talks before, but this is the first week I have heard them mentioned in a very serious capacity.
