I know I get hung up on ship classifications, but perhaps we need to reframe our thinking for each service as finding a balance of high-capability Tier I combatants (Leopard/F-35/RCD), more affordable Tier II combatants (MEDCAV/Gripen/CDC), and entry-level trainers (LUV/Hawk replacement (TA-50 or T-7?)/FASST-V). I think these all have a place in the Canadian defense ecosystem.

Stg if they don’t choose Tribal Class as naming convention for CPSP they’ve totally lost aura. Imagine HMCS Haida being reincarnated as an Attack Sub becoming the most lethal warship in the RCN.
