I hope you all had a great weekend. We've definitely hit the dry season, where news really slows apparently and people have just vanished. It's a short news week AGAIN, dominated primarily by missiles and sattelites, and also MORE DRONES
We do however get some fun stuff this week, Otokar makes themselves known, a rare Turkish lobby, MDBA France and ST Engineeringare back, so is Railotech. We also have some fun politics going on, an ADM shuffle and Alberta making a big move all headline this issue.
Anywho, I won't bother anymore. Let's jump into it.

• There are very heavy rumors that Alberta and the Federal Government will strike a new, major framework agreement on defence, covering multiple topics and Investments. Details at the moment are.still very much in flux, but at least one thing seems garunteed, the opening up of Suffield to both private testing and, potentially, private facilities. It is said that the agreement would be 'significant' by some.
• There is a major, quiet shifting of some ADM coming or already ongoing, while not announced, several folks are expected to receive new positions in relation to the DIA. This comes after our prebious report several months ago that a major ADM reshuffling was likely in the summer. Out of respect, we won't say any names or position ahofts directly.
• At least one thing is certain for HDFM, it seems like we will almost certainly be getting new tanks, and skipping any modernizations or reusing existing hulls. This was previously an option examined, but now seems to be out of contention
• This isn't really a shock, because it is when you expect stuff, but Army Week apparently has several big announcements planned, which I guess isnt much of a rumor. Of course Army Week will have some announcements, but one of you asked so here is the answer.
• Expect some big stuff next weekend, like some pictures of planes and stuff

Under the Canadian constitution, national defense is a federal responsibility, and provinces do not own or operate military bases or armed forces. Provinces have no authority over military infrastructure, and His Majesty's Canadian Armed Forces operate as a unified national institution under the Crown with direct Loyalty to the Monarch . I say again All Canadian Forces Bases (CFBs) and stations belong to the federal Crown under the administration of National Defence , the Provinces have nothing to do with it .
So that begs the Question WTF is the Federal Government doing talking about ANYTHING to do with National Defence with a Provincial Government ? Especially one that should be given the Rope and strung up for Treason . This is seriously disturbing but it gets worse .

" - CFB Suffield is where we test ( Including open Air test ) our Chemical and Biological agents ....LET THAT SINK IN for a second....Who in the HELL are these PRIVATE business / company's we are GOING TO ALLOW to Test ....Test what exactly ?? What Private Facilities are we going to ALLOW to open up at CFB Suffield ? Who will have OVER ALL CONTROL of what they are doing / How they are doing it / what Rules and Regulations will they be following ? Who are we allowing into our National Security apparatus ?
There are a lot of things about this that do not add up , nothing here gives me a Warm and Fuzzy . The Provinces have 0 to do with His Majesty's Canadian Armed Forces and have Nothing to to do with National Security . This Federal Government needs to give that Alberta Provincial Government that Bayonet , each one of them should get 12 inches of Cold Steel . I don't think the Federal Government is paying attention and to be honest i think they are going off a cliff here , clear as mud .
OK, I’ve said it elsewhere and I’ll say it again. I’m coming to the conclusion that provinces have outlived their usefulness. While the first few have partial entitlement to remain as provinces as they were when they originally joined Confederation, for the most part they joined with much smaller land masses. Of course Alberta, Saskatchewan and most of Manitoba were created by act of Canadian parliament, so they could be rescinded as provinces altogether. Provinces writ large are impediments to the national economy and our democracy by still enforcing trade barriers and diminishing our democratic rights and principles by using the Notwithstanding clause.
